Son of Prey is a Danish rock band, formed in 2016 by Mikas Merrild.

The sound of Son of Prey is based on powerful themes driven by strong vocals, numerous guitars, performed as modern ”wall of sound”. The songs by Son of Prey balance between rock minimalism and magnificent soundscapes.

The songs are about missing persons,  abandoned hometowns and real-life events in general.

Son of Preys live setup consists of a very experienced lineup of musicians, technicians, sound- and lightengineers. In concert this unites in a fine connection between sounds and visuals and a performance, that moves from minimalistic musical intimacy to monumental heights of thematic soundscapes.
